Femmes and queer folks have embraced and celebrated divas since the dawn of time (name one iconic diva who’s fanbase is not 90% femme and queer?) because they EXUDE that confidence and share it with those of us who need it most. (Can you imagine listening, dancing and screaming along to “Believe”, the record breaking smash hit recorded by Cher, and not feeling better about the asshole who ghosted you? Nope. Many a scorned gay owe their lives to that track.)
