Simon is super hot. The salmon wrap is to die for...it's grilled...they don't tell you that on the menu. Try the raspberry sangrias. Delish!!!
A restaurant for the staff, atmosphere and views..
Le Saloon offers a large menu of dishes (salads, sandwiches, burgers, pizza etc). Though to be honest, I don't go here for the food. It's a nicely decorated venue (with quite a cool/clubby atmosphere), and has very friendly staff. In the summer with the windows open, it's a nice spot to watch the world go by on Rue Sainte Catherine.
Am pleased to say that, after a short break, Le Saloon now serves brunch at the weekend, which is a must.
Food is good but sometimes music is too much loud
Before going there, you should verify if the music is at low volume... It is not a restaurant for a quiet and romantic moment, but if you like disco atmosphere, this restaurant is a good one.
Don't pass this place up
During my stays in Montreal, I walked by Le Saloon many a day but never thought any thing of it. Running for shelter from the rain is what brought me to this place. I was promptly greetly with a big huge smile worn on the face of a bartender named Jean-Phillipe. He quenched my thirst with his wonderul concoctions and introduced me to some of the local patrons. What I thought would be a 10 minute visit turned into drinks, an amazing dinner of Pasta Primavera, and great music. LeSaloon is now a thrice weekly stop for me on my business trips to Montreal.
