I hate loud music

This aspect really brought my rating down. I am used to working in a bar, but this Club has its sound system set so high that you can't understand a guy screaming into your ear! I have been there about 6 times this year and it's always the same atmosphere. There is no place to sit down. The crowd is very young and of mixed gender. There are 2-3 gogo boys on raised platforms in the middle of the main dance floor. Go there if you like dancing.

Unity is a solid gay club. It has it's ups and downs over the years (a fire, mismanagement, ) and the crowd left. Renamed, Unity 2, It is not as popular as it once was. Located, on Rue St. Catherine, above Stock Dansuer/ Strip club. Unity is now open Thursday-Sunday nights and has 2 floors, as well as a large roof desk, which is open in the summer months. Cover charge required for entry after 11:00pm

The sound system was awful, extreemly loud and the tracks played were a mixture of blowing noise & screaming. Though the decoration & enlightments were cool. Mixed clientele, mostly young peoplet. NB : After 22 hrs. you have to pay 10$ for the entry alone

What a fun time!

When my partner and I were in line to get in, he mentioned [in fear] that Unity seemed like a twink bar. Soon, though, we realized it wasn't and that gay men of all kinds - including drag queens, found their place at Unity. The music by DJ Honey Dijon was great and modern and everybody was in the spirit. What a great place! The next time I'm in Montreal, I'll definitely go back!

Cool place for Gays and Lesbians

I'm a gay male and was happy to see that club was about 50/50 in the gay and lesbian ratio. The club itself has a nice set up, big with two floors and two different rooms. There's a large main one and a smaller one with different music. I would have to say that it caters more to the snobby young gay male scene (I'm not a lesbian so I don't know their perspective) but if you don't mind that than it's great for you. Have fun!
