I've been to 4 different Gay strip clubs in Montreal and about 5 or 6 of the straight ones so I "know the drill". I always liked Adonis because of the mix of dancers. (If I want young I go to Taboo and if I want older muscular I go to Campus.) Here is my experience: I arrived at 2 am and actually thought they were closing as the place was basically empty. I asked the bartender, he said they were open til 3 and apoligized for the place not be 'active'. So, my friend and I stayed. Other than us 2, there was 1 other gentleman near the back and I believe 2 guys at another table. I got 2 private dances (yes the $20 'I can touch' them dance) by one 18-20 year old. He did his job (couldn't dance all that well but I didn't actaully care about his dancing skills). Total was $40 and he didn't try to hustle me for more. (Unlike the str8 clubs) Next guy on stage was my absolute type of guy I like.......killer abs and a tiny waist! I HAD to have a dance by him. I wish had gotten his name. I got 4 (in a row) private dances by him as well. Yeah, an $80 bill but totally worth it. Now I don't want to sound like I was a newbie and fell for the act that the dancer actaully liked me but...I would say he performed his job very well. I felt he was 'into' the dance and enjoyed what he was doing. Now again, I know he wasn't into me personally but I felt we was having fun too. If it weren't near closing time, I would have stayed in th eprivate booth longer! Overall, he was a great guy. He was HOT, could dance, and genuinely seemed like a fun guy who was enjoying this work. Why only 45 dancers per week

I go to Adonis sometimes.Lately the bar has added interesting programs to make the bar more attractive.But the new management hires only 40 or 45 dancers per week,whereas Campus with the exact same opening hours hires up to 100 dancers per week.How can Adonis compete with Campus with so few dancers?I am an American from Chicago who retired to live for good in Montreal.

Few young clients in the bar ---not enough dancers

I am from Sudbury in Ontario but living in Montreal for two years.I go to Adonis occasionally and find that the management now is choosing dancers exactly of the kind they have in Taboo.Very few older dancers,(dancers over 23) are there.When I go there,I cannot speak French---very few dancers can speak in English to me.There are very few young clients in the bar;;some of the dancers are attractive but they all seem to be working-class French boys--I saw one black boy.Are there no other races in Montreal?One of the waiters,strangely,was much better-looking than most of the dancers.

Too few dancers sometimes---some good-looking ones

I have lived in Montreal or Toronto all my life.When I go to Adonis in the evening,there is often a gap of 5 to 10 minutes when no dancer is on stage.Sometimes the stage is empty for more than 10 minutes.Many clients find this boring and leave.Adonis has some very good-looking,young dancers.But Tiguydou is hiring more younger dancers and ruining the variety.In 1997 or 1998,Adonis would audition 65 to 70 nude male dancers every Saturday afternoon,and hire about 60 of them.Those open auditions should be back.IN those days,dancers from 18 to 40 would strip,but more younger dancers would show up.In order to keep client interest,they need more dancers---they are not even paying the dancers.If there are notb enough clients on an evening,the dancers can play and talk with each other.Many dancers are homosexual or bisexual,and are attracted to other dancers.Tiguydou ----- Adonis must not become Taboo.

Bar has too many young dancers between 19 and 22

I live in Laval and go to Adonis after work from time to time.Since the new manager Tiguydou has taken over Adonis,Adonis has become more like Taboo and almost all dancers are between 18 and 23.We do not need two gay male strip clubs like Taboo in Montreal.If clients only want to see very young dancers,they go to Taboo anyways and will continue to.Where are the dancers over 25 and 30 at Adonis?Tiguydou only chooses dancers by age--prefering those under 22,but a number of dancers at Adonis who were over 25,30 or 35 could often get more lap dancers than dancers under 24.Adonis clients,unlike Taboo,also like older dancers.Unfortunately,narrow-minded Tiguydou only will hire dancers like the ones at Taboo.Bad decision it is to try to make Adonis Taboo NO.2

Bar could use more dancers

I am from North Carolina and I come to Montreal once or twice a year.I like Adonis,but the majority of dancers are under 23.At other male strip joints in Montreal,the dancers are too muscular.There were only 8 to 10 dancers when I dropped in on Thursday night recently,and only 10 to 12 clients,not a single client who looked under 50.Three years ago,when I visited,Adonis had many older dancers over 25 or 30 and also many dancers under 22.Many dancers at Adonis have pretty faces,but only 1 out of 5 dancers had an erection on stage.At bars like Stock,6 out of 8 dancers I saw had an erect penis on stage when naked.Adonis needs more dancers,both young and old .Period.And dancers can make sure other dancers get erections on stage---- in the way some other bars do.

Does what it says on the tin

This was my first time in a male strip club as I'm from London, so young men getting their kit off in public and wiggling their bits around is something of a novelty. I had read some of the reviews on here before going, though, so was aware of things like the fee is per song, not for the whole dance. And I have to say, for those that ran up a dance bill of $400 and thought that would be $10 - what were you thinking, you must have been in there *ages*. So anyway, I got in late because I'd been out with (straight) friends for dinner and couldn't lose them until after midnight. The club was pretty quiet, with only a few customers and four dancers. A bottle of Heineken cost me $7, which seeed a tad pricey, especially given the price list on the wall behind the bar said $5.75 - but no matter, it wasn't as if I was buying everyone a round. After a few minutes, a young lad in a T Shirt (and I wasn't sure at this stage whether he worked there or not - and if he did, he had more of a look of a bus boy than a dancer), nervously approached me. Me avoiding his gaze, him trying to get in my eyeline. It was pretty comical now I think back. He eventually said something and I quickly established that his English was only marginally better than my French; so this made communication a little tricky. His name was Danny, early 20s, and it didn't take him long to explain that I could have a private dance - $10 for 'open curtain', $20 for 'closed curtain'. Paying $20 meant I also got to touch. I declined initially, and we chatted (awkwardly) at the bar while I drank through another $7 bottle of Heineken. Now I could have misunderstood, but Danny seemed to imply that he only gets paid for the private dancing, and the stuff he does on the stage is more like an advertisement of his wares. As I say, I may have misunderstood, but it also seemed perfectly believable. So at this point, I felt a little guilty that the poor sop was only trying to push the private dancing otherwise he'd be going home with nowt for the evening, so I said '2 dances' and he nodded with a smile of acknowledgement that I seemed to know the system already. The booths are pretty snug. You sit with your back to the wall, and the dancer stands on a low circular platform, with a curtain going around you both. Danny got naked and stood there explaining he was waiting for the start of the song while I was starring right at his family jewels a couple of inches away from my face. A first for British reserve. The next song started and Danny proceeded to gyrate a bit, encouraging me to touch him. He rubbed his bum into my crotch (which was not at all unpleasant) and fondled himself into a state of semi arousal while I helped him along, stroking his cock and balls. For me, this was one of my vanilla fantasies, seeing a cute lad and getting to touch him up for twenty quid. Yum. The two songs had, for a total of $40 was very pleasant, and although desperately seedy, I absolutely loved it. Yes, the place could do with a few more punters and dancers in it, and possibly the bar pricing is a bit iffy, but what the hell - if you wanted classy, you should be drinking at Wunderbar in the W Hotel, not a strip joint.

Good place but could use more variety

Adonis has a number of very pretty dancers ,but there are often only 40 dancers per week instead of 60.Clients,do not forget Montreal strippers are not paid salaries by owners or managers to take off their clothes on stage.Dancers make their money from tips,private lap dances and by doing escort work outside the bar.Remember,clients are stripping naked on stage for free.You,the client are the king.

Different Type of Gay Strip Club

I have gone to this club several times yet each time I go I end up grabing a beer and stay only for 10 to 15 minutes before going to another club. The dancers are twinks and there are very few dancers. There is usually a 5 to 10 minute gap between dancers. The club is small and very few other patrons are there. I guess it is just not my scene but other people I have talked to loved it.

Ok bar-could benefit from more space

This is a fine bar,but it could use more space-it is small,areawise.But if you are seated near,you could ge an excellent view of customers and dancers on stage,when nude and when clothed. Some of the dancers do not even get naked during their second dance,but many dancers are very good-looking.Also,since most dancers I saw nude on stage were not in erection ,it is hard to guage how well-endowed they really are.

I went to Adonis last year once and loved a dancer called Mika on stage and in person.When I went back last week and this week,he was no longer there.He stopped working there.I hope he comes back.The bar is decent,though small.

I am from Chicago and went to Adonis today afternoon and caught their Saturday auditions.But there were far too few clients,and not many dancers auditioning either.By contrast,I went to Adonis in 1998 during Saturday auditions.There were more than 40 dancers auditioning and far more clients.Today's dancers at Adonis were ok,some very good-looking,but in 1998 it was better-with more dancers and more clients.They could encourage more young men to audition or work there.

Small bar,good choice of dancers

I am from Ottawa and visited Montreal recently.I have enjoyed visiting Adonis,and liked my last visit a week ago.Adonis has a lot of young dancers and some older dancers.The clientele is mostly older,but there were some very young,good-looking clients.There was a beautiful young dancer called Kevin-who had the face and body of a true Adonis.He could be easily in gay porn movies.There were other good-looking dancers too,but there was a waiter who was very good-looking too and could be encouraged to dance naked on stage.Waiters who are dancers too can be fun.I have only visited the bar once,and urge guys who admire good-loking ,young men to go look.The music is great.

An interesting bar

I am from Austin,Texas and I have just visited Montreal.I enjoyed visiting Adonis and bars like Stock that feature nude male dancers.While the Stock dancers were big on muscle,many dancers at Adonis had better faces and more natural bodies,ranging from well-built to skinny.The bartenders and waiters at Adonis were very nice,but one of the waiters at Adonis was better-looking than many of the dancers.Also,Adonis dancers are good-looking,but the night I went only 20% of the dancers at Adonis had erections on stage.On the other hand,70% of the dancers at Stock had erections on stage during their nude dance.Someone in the bar could encourage the dancers to get hard more often at Adonis.Maybe,the dancers could help each other there.

Adonis is a nice little gay male strip joint,with good-looking nude male dancers.Though some of the dancers are not very charming,some are very friendly and good-looking.The dancers seemed 40% straight,40% gay and 20% bisexual,when I visited from Winnipeg recently.Some of the dancers have very big cocks.The music is good,the staff friendly on the whole.Good place to see nude dancers for those who like both nude muscular men and nude slim dancers.
